So this person rang me up saying they were from Carphone Warehouse. They told me I could grab a Samsung S22 for just £20 a month, including all the extras. They also said they’d sort out my contract since it finishes this October. Quite fishy if you ask me!

I got a call from someone who said they were from O2, but the connection was really bad and I could barely catch what they were saying. They told me I'd receive a text message with a link that I had to click on. I asked if they could just email me instead, since O2 already have my email. Then they started insisting that the only way to get the discount was by using that text link. Yeah, no thanks, I’m not falling for that one...

Someone just rang saying they were from Amazon, went on about some payment issue and then suddenly dropped the call. Reading the other comments, sounds like a dodgy scam.

I received a rather alarming call informing me about a suspected fraudulent transaction on my bank card, claiming a charge of £300 along with another hefty one for £1000. They prompted me to press either 1 or 2-though I can’t quite recall what those options were supposed to lead to. However, feeling uneasy about the whole situation, I decided to hang up instead.

I received a phone call purporting to be from Virgin Media, stating there was some questionable activity on my router. They claimed they needed to send a code to refresh it. I suspect this might have been a follow-up to a conversation I had a fortnight ago. I opted not to share any personal information, and the caller ominously proclaimed my internet would be cut off within the hour. I couldn't help but chuckle and wished him all the best for the rest of his day!

I had a rather dodgy phone call earlier, supposedly from O2. The individual on the line was keen to know if I had any sort of contract with them. Here's the thing though: if they were genuinely representing O2, they should have already been aware of that information! Quite suspect, if you ask me.

They acted like they were from o2, claiming a 45% discount and even sent me two texts from 02UK numbers, so it seemed legit. One message was about security, the other had a code. Just a heads up: never share the code. I was suspicious since o2 never really offers discounts. When they wanted the 6 digit security code, I just made one up and they kept sending the texts again and again, like three times. That’s a dead giveaway they’re dodgy. Watch out folks, these scammers can really mess you about.
