This morning, just before 9, I received a rather alarming message claiming that £600 had been withdrawn from my debit account. Honestly, it’s baffling to think that they would ring up on a Saturday at such an early hour. I can’t help but worry about my elderly parents when these sorts of things happen; my mind races with all the dreadful possibilities. Such calls really unsettle me and leave me feeling quite anxious.

Lately, I've been inundated with calls from numbers starting with 01632, claiming to represent Domestic & General Insurance. Curiously, the individuals on the line always seem to have Asian accents.

In the past, we were customers of Talktalk for our internet service. A few years back, their customer data was passed on to a subcontractor based in India, and it appears that this information has fallen into the wrong hands. As a result, more than 80% of our incoming calls and emails have turned out to be dodgy or spammy.

Today I got a call from 01632 960671, someone saying they were from domestic & general - which sounded legit since my appliances are insured with them. But then they messed up big time by getting my address and how I pay all wrong. I told them straight away they weren’t who they claimed to be. Then they tried to cover it up by saying their system had crashed and lost all data! Yeah right. Lucky for me, I’m not easily fooled by these kinds of scams.

I received a call from this number, but as soon as I picked up, they disconnected. They tried calling again, but this time they let it go to voicemail. All I got was a beep and no message at all. After digging a bit, I found out it’s actually a made-up number. Quite baffling, as I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service-so how on earth did they get hold of my details?

Had a missed call from 01632 909731 earlier, but I didn't pick up since I usually avoid answering numbers I don't know. No voicemail was left either, which was a relief after seeing the feedback here. Turns out, 01632 isn't even a valid area code! Glad I gave it a miss.

I got this weird automated voice a few times before Christmas, each call coming from different numbers. Heard someone mentioned the same thing back on 12/12/19. It's defs best to just hang up and ignore it, no point replying at all.

I just got a call from someone saying there was a £600 purchase on my account from about 15 minutes earlier. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to stop the payment. Definitely sounded like a scam to me. When I checked the caller ID, it showed as withheld number.

I get calls from them pretty much every day, I try blocking but then they just ring from another number. They even asked "Is that you?" and knew my 12 year old son’s name which is just awful. It's shocking how this place lets strangers from who knows where buy up local phone codes. I’ve had calls from them showing numbers all over, from Sheffield to London.

noticed this number’s been looked up nearly 500 times but no one’s said anything about it. just got a call from it myself, didn’t answer and they didn’t leave a message, so i’m guessing it’s another one of those annoying spam calls. honestly, we get loads of these annoying calls daily from all sorts of numbers. it’s getting really tiring!
