I've been getting calls from these numbers non stop for weeks. They ring me about 5 or 6 times daily, always trying some kind of scam. Every time I block one, another pops up with slightly different digits but almost the same. It's really getting on my nerves and messing with my day, whether I’m at home or at work. I really wish there was some kind of rule or law to stop this. If they took complaints seriously and shut down numbers linked to these shady calls, it would make a huge difference.

Got a call from a Portsmouth number asking me to send photos of a car crash through Whatsapp. The call dropped, then another phone rang from Manchester. When I questioned why a mate called from Portsmouth but now this bloke’s calling from the HQ... bit fishy! Tried ringing back but just got ringing out, no pick up - guess their so-called "HQ" shuts up shop early! He wanted pictures of an accident sent by Whatsapp but I said I’d email instead. Surprise, surprise, no email address given. Watch out, seems like a proper con!

I told her I couldn’t quite catch what she said and asked her to send me something in writing. She called once more but I had the answerphone on, no voice message left. Later, a bloke called but again, didn’t leave a message. They’re certainly quite persistent!

I received a rather dubious call from a bloke with a thick accent who insisted he was affiliated with a housing maintenance service. I just had a rather peculiar phone call from a gentle-voiced chap with an accent. He insisted that my wife had put in £### with some fast-paced share trading firm, and that they now possessed £### on her behalf. Apparently, the company has gone bust, and he was after her bank details to supposedly transfer the funds somewhere else. Oddly enough, she couldn't get her money back. The chap on the other end was named James, and he was insisting that he was phoning on behalf of Microsoft. I made it clear that I wasn't about to be taken in by his dodgy tactics. The individual on the other end insisted they were looking into a scam that supposedly involved my name on numerous occasions. I must say, they came across as quite persuasive and rather reassuring. However, when I explained that I’ve never owned a timeshare, the conversation wrapped up pleasantly without any fuss!

Got a call from a bloke called Rumi, said he was from some UK housing lot. I didn’t even let him finish a word before I told him he was a scam and hung up. The number he called from was 01618 188226.

Took ages before they picked up. A voice with an Asian accent talked about green energy and supposed govt grants for solar and heating. Totally a con. Don’t share any of your info with them. I told them I don’t deal with cold calls and ended the call.

I received a call on my landline yesterday from an 01618 number. When I answered with a friendly "hello?", a rather brash chap launched into a spiel about doors and windows, speaking at a rapid-fire pace that genuinely threw me off. I didn’t quite know how to respond at first, and before I could explain that I’m merely renting the place, he cut me off and demanded to know if I owned the property. I was taken aback, so I replied, "This is a rented flat... may I ask who you are?" but he hung up before I could finish my sentence. Quite unpleasant, I must say! To top it off, I received another call today from a different 01618 number, this time on my mobile. Luckily, I was able to dodge that one. I’m so relieved I searched your site to check these numbers, as now I’ll be much more vigilant! Thanks a million for your help!

I've been inundated with calls from a woman chattering away in what sounds like another language. It's been a relentless barrage over the last few days. I attempted to return the call, but not a soul picked up. On the odd occasion, I did hear a male voice as well. Very peculiar!

Got two calls from 01618 saying it's HMRC and there's an arrest warrant against me - yeah right, not buying it. Also got ringed twice yesterday from 02033897636, folks claiming they were from HMRC and one time they said Met Police. I’m based in Frinton on Sea, Essex. Watch out everyone!

01618205970 called me claiming to be from an energy provider, saying they wanted to check if I could save money on my bills. I’m pretty sure it was a scam. I never share my personal info with unknown callers. I politely refused and ended the call straight away.

The number ringing me was 01618 500009. I didn’t pick up and when I checked my voicemail, there was a message about 5 seconds long but no one actually spoke. You could hear some chatter in the back, sounded like a busy call centre or something.

Received a barrage of texts yesterday from 01618 ### insisting I get in touch with my so-called case officer! This morning, a chap claiming to be a 'case officer' named Steve Cooper gave me a ring. He had quite a pronounced Chinese accent! He practically bombarded me with an array of supposed penalties regarding my alleged tax infractions. I informed him that I haven't been employed in the UK since ### and hence haven't owed any tax. He seemed taken aback but just kept on rambling. I eventually decided to hang up.

Just received a voicemail today from a woman with an Indian accent, claiming to be regarding a PPI repayment of £### owed to me. She asked me to ring her back and mentioned her name was Jennifer. I found it quite challenging to grasp what she was saying, having to replay it multiple times due to the thick accent. No chance I'll be returning that call!

Received a rather dodgy voicemail purportedly from HMRC, but it had an American woman's voice claiming I was in trouble and facing court proceedings. Whatever you do, don’t press 1 and definitely avoid calling back the number they provided; it’s just a cover for the same scam they attempted with me last year. Total nonsense!
