01622 533 015 - 26th September 2025, around 5.25pm on a Friday - Got a ring but no voicemail left behind. Feels like one of those typical scam calls trying their luck again!

My sister lives in Canada and she got a text that looked like it was from me, but the number had a weird country code. The message said exactly what I usually write her, even though she never got anything from me directly. She ended up blocking the number and deleting the message since it wasn’t saved under my name in her phone.

I just got a call on my landline from a number in Ireland.

Heads up! The 01662 prefix isn’t assigned to any actual UK area, so it’s a dodgy call. I just got a call from a woman called Julia, she had a thick Indian accent, ringing from 01662735462. She was offering some kind of “arrangement” to stop me from being charged twice by BT - problem is, we don’t even use BT! Couple of days ago, we had another call warning us that BT would disconnect our landline yesterday. Be careful with these calls and if possible, block the number right away.

Got three calls from numbers I didn’t recognise today, the latest one was 01662964842. All seemed dodgy to me. Plus, 01662 isn’t even a valid UK area code. Definitely scammers!

Got a call from 01662 857001 a minute ago. It was some recorded message saying a visa card payment to Western Union got stopped. They told me to press 1 if i wanted to okay it, 2 to cancel, or 3 to talk to a rep. Just hung up straight away, seemed like a scam to me!

Got a missed call from 01662643546 but when I tried to ring back it said the number doesn’t exist? Bit odd if you ask me!

Got a call saying my internet would get cut off if I didn't pay up. Absolute scam! These people really need to feel embarrassed about pulling tricks like this.

01662 8886277 called me with a recorded voice saying the government’s solar subsidy scheme has finished, and now energy firms are taking over. They offered solar panels and batteries, with options to press 7 for details or 3 to opt out. Thing is, I never signed up for their list! What’s weird is my call blocker showed a call from 01473 343447 (Ipswich area code) just seconds before, so seems the call got redirected. When I searched the 01662 code, it popped up as "Crown Utilities" or something similar, so I’m guessing that’s the dodgy lot behind this annoying spam. Really frustrating!
