If it’s just a strange number, best to ignore it. Keep all important contacts saved; anything else is probably just spam or scammers.

They actually knew my name and a previous address, then wanted to know if I still lived there. I said no, and they then asked for my current address. The caller said they were from a company called Redstar Financial Services and claimed I was due a refund from MBNA. When they got my name wrong, I asked where they had got their info from, and they said it was straight from MBNA but might be a bit outdated. I told them that was impossible since I’ve never used that name. Right after that, the bloke hung up. At least now I know it’s Redstar Financial trying to pull a fast one, so I’ve blocked the number. The caller’s name was Callum, by the way.
