Got a call from someone asking if we were aware that HRH Prince Phillip had passed away and then asked if we’d be willing to bury him in our garden. My Mrs said it was a woman on the phone and reckoned she should definitely be reported to the coppers.

Bloke rang from something called Industrial Workers, didn’t say what exactly. Said based on some records, I’d worked in an industrial place and new Health & Safety laws might let me claim compo for noise damage. Asked what job I had done, I said I don’t give out personal info over phone. Number almost same as two calls we got recently, so seems like pestering. "Workers Aid"? The caller asked for me by name then claimed I was eligible for a single payment of £7000 because I’d worked in a noisy environment. I kept saying I wasn’t interested, but he kept going, saying they’d be at Doncaster Racecourse on 26th February. Even after I said no, his mate rang back an hour later trying to pressure me into booking an appointment.

I don’t know the number, and if it was something urgent, you’d expect them to have called back or tried again by now, a few hours later.
