It showed up as my landlord Jigsaw Homes in Tameside but the number started with 0161 331 and they said they needed to discuss my rent account, even though I’ve paid ahead... I told my landlord and they’re checking it out, but I reckon it might be one of those Universal Credit scams.

A bloke rang me about some payment I might get if I’d worked in a certain industry and my hearing was damaged. I did work in that industry. He said I had to be under 78, which I am. Then he mentioned an audio test at some place in St Helens, but the name he gave had actually changed a few years back. That’s when I clocked it was a dodgy call, so I just ended it.

It went on to inform me that if I wished to stop receiving any further calls, I should simply hit the number 5 on my phone. I'm going to give that a try and see if it actually does the trick.
