Someone rang saying they were from o2 and tried to sell me a discount. I asked them about my recent bill and as soon as I did, they just ended the call. Definitely a scam.

The line was really scratchy and the person had a thick accent. I couldn’t make out exactly what the deal was, but it was something about £25 a month. I just told them no thanks. Definitely a cold call or maybe something dodgier.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Mobile, trying to entice me with a SIM-only offer. I pretended to struggle with my hearing to string them along for about ten minutes, all the while coaxing them to lower the price. It was quite amusing until they finally gave up and ended the call when I started probing about the security questions!

They had such a thick accent, i struggled to catch a word they said. When I asked where they got my info from, they just said I was mumbling or not clear enough. They wouldnt say exactly who they were or what company they were from. Then they kept asking about my phone, which felt really odd. In the end, i just blocked the caller.

I received a call on my mobile from this unfamiliar number earlier today around twenty-five to three. I didn’t pick up since I didn’t recognise the digits. If it’s someone I’m not familiar with, I tend to let it ring out.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent who inquired about my well-being, claiming it was a promotional offer. I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up.

I suspect it was just a nuisance call. The person spoke in a whisper, and when I probed a bit, they parroted an O2 offer that sounded a bit dodgy. I ended up losing the signal as I drove through a tunnel, and they never rang me back after that.

My phone said it looked like a scam, so I just ignored the call. They didn't bother leaving a voicemail either.

Got a call claiming to be from O2, saying they could sort me out with a cheaper monthly price. I played along at first, then they said they’d transfer me to some 'discount team' and that’s when I got suspicious. I ended the call straight away. Had a quick look at my actual O2 account afterwards and there was no sign of any discount offers. Definitely decided to BLOCK that number!

Claimed to be ringing me up on behalf of my life insurance provider to suggest a renewal for my policy. Ended up realising this chap was nothing but a fraudster. Straight away, I’ve blocked him!

This bloke claimed he was from EE Ltd, saying I could get a new iPhone if I changed my plan for £16 a month. He went on about how EE covers 30% of my bills, so my current provider wouldn’t mind if I switched. I pretended to be an elderly lady and kept him chatting for about half an hour while he spun loads of stories about how contracts work and tried to justify why the website he gave me was no good (turns out it was a dodgy link). Quite a laugh to waste his time, but yep, definitely a scammer.

It was impossible to decipher any actual words. According to my findings, the number originates from Llandovery in Wales. I'd really appreciate it if someone could look into this for me. Cheers!

Just received a rather dodgy call featuring a pre-recorded voice purporting to be from MasterCard or Visa about some supposed £600 foreign transaction made on my card a quarter of an hour ago. They wanted me to "Press 1" to sort it out - clearly just a ruse to get me to spill my bank and card details. Absolute nonsense, if you ask me. Stay sharp and don't fall for it!
