This week I've been getting loads of calls from numbers like 01544329814 and 01544329841, along with others beginning with 01544, starting early morning about 8.40am and going on all day. Usually I ignore them, but tonight it just popped up as 'incoming call', so I was caught off guard. I only managed to say ‘hello’ before hanging up quick. Honestly, these lot are proper pests and ought to be reported to the cops.

I've had my landline unlisted for over two decades now. This morning, I noticed a call from that Welsh number but chose not to pick up since usually it's nothing but pest calls. The line is solely dedicated to EE broadband and an intercom system, never shared with anyone else. Just like some of the others here, I got a phone call today from someone called Chris claiming our home is listed on a Government database because of poor loft insulation. Thing is, we don’t have a loft at all! A couple of weeks ago, I spoke with a Jane who pretty much read the same spiel from nearly the same number - the only difference was the last two digits; hers ended with 41, his with 40. Definitely feels like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call around 1:15 in the afternoon about some government listing for heat insulation. I quickly cut in, joking about Heat Geek videos on YouTube and how their register misstated my place as a one-bed flat. Then the caller just said, "thanks for your time" and hung up. I've flagged this number as dodgy since it's the second time these guys have called me. They seem to be pushing foam insulation for roof spaces, which from what I’ve heard can cause the roof timbers to rot and is nearly impossible to get out once applied. Steer clear of these lot!
