I've received a call from this number, claiming that since I couldn't stump up the £250 upfront, they deposited it into my bank account instead. They instructed me to send the funds via MoneyGram to a chap named Freddie Hughes. I went along with it because, truth be told, it wasn't my own money they were talking about. Now they've turned round and said that I need to pay an additional £200, and in return, they'll transfer the funds back into my account, using the same post office for the transaction. They assured me that within half an hour of that, the loan would be in my account. What on earth should I do now?

My mum's partner received a call from this number proposing a loan of £5,000, following a few applications he had made earlier. They insisted on an immediate payment of £185, to be sent via bank transfer into a Halifax account, assuring him that the funds would arrive within mere minutes. Shortly after, they contacted him again, demanding an additional £249 for 'tax' related to the loan, to be sent through Western Union to India. When he hesitated to pay, they threatened him with a £2,000 fine for failing to pay the tax on the loan. They identified themselves as representatives of Secured UK Loans. Curious about the situation, a mate and I decided to test the waters by applying for loans ourselves. Before long, we were contacted by the very same number, albeit with claims of being from two different firms. They referred to themselves as Authority Finance for me, while my friend was told they were Ever Money. My friend was pressured to send £285 via bank transfer to a Lloyd's account, and I was instructed to fork out £120 across three different bank accounts: Lloyd's, Halifax, and Natwest. They claimed to operate from a call centre, but every time I rang back, I was greeted by the same bloke - what are the odds of that? While the background noise sounded like an authentic call centre, upon closer inspection, it felt eerily repetitive. If you see this number pop up on your phone, I advise you not to answer. I received a phone call from this firm today. They proposed a loan of £4000 but wanted me to pay £299 initially for a so-called tax. I turned them down, yet within an hour, they had sneaked £161 from my bank account (they must have acquired my bank information from a third party I'd approached). It’s clearly a scam. I contacted my bank, and they informed me that the funds had been quickly transferred to India. I've unfortunately fallen prey to a rather devious scam perpetrated by someone going by the name Roderick Braga, using the website http://www.badcredithistory.uk/. I've received countless calls from the same number, and there was also a so-called "account manager" named Angela and a "general manager" by the name of David Philip Morgan. They dangled an enticing offer of £6000 when I originally sought £5000. Naturally, I was tempted to go for the extra cash and ended up being swindled out of £1000 instead. They went on and on about the legality of the whole affair and insisted that any additional payments I made would be fully refundable. However, they warned that if I didn’t keep coughing up, I wouldn't receive a penny. Beware of these individuals and any calls originating from Liverpool. They're a crafty bunch and I am determined to bring them to justice, no matter how long it takes. This nonsense has to be put to a stop!
