Some bloke said he was ringing from this place called 'Accident Investigation Company'. He kept going on about how someone gave me up to him and it was about an accident I was involved in. I just kept quiet and didn’t give him any details. After a while, he hung up.

It’s absolutely maddening-calling at 5:15 on a Sunday and having the audacity to ask for someone who doesn’t even live here, or worse, leaving me hanging in silence when I answer. Got a call from Stephen Thompson claiming he was from Lawyers Attorney in Liverpool, said their office was at Walker House Exchange Flags, L2 3YL. He told me I’d been in an accident. I messsed around with him on the phone for a bit, told him I was nearby and we should meet up to talk about it. He just ended the call straight away!!!

Some woman named "Jessica", said she was from Liverpool but spoke with a really thick south east asian accent. She said she was calling from "Lawyers Attorney" about a car accident that happened recently, like within three years. When I asked where exactly she was based, she told me "Exchange Flag, Merseyside, Liverpool". That place is a big office block with loads of different businesses inside. Seems like these scammers are making up believable stories to sound more real.

I had a rather dubious phone call today from a chap by the name of Max Smith, claiming to represent the Government. He insisted that I was eligible for a compensation claim regarding an incident from two years back. The bloke was quite insistent, pressing me for my full name and details about where the alleged accident occurred, but I declined to provide any information. It all felt rather dodgy, to be honest. The most amusing part was his introduction-Max Smith, with a distinctly foreign accent, yet he was adamant he'd lived here all his life. He mentioned that his father was from abroad, while his mum has always been a local-ironic, isn't it? I can't help but chuckle at the thought of a "Smith" from elsewhere. Perhaps the authorities ought to investigate this fellow, seeing as he claims to be a government employee.

Got a few calls from an Asian guy named Alex using this number. The line was always crackling and cutting out. He said he was with a law firm in Liverpool. Even though the number looks like Liverpool, I’m pretty sure the calls are actually coming from somewhere in Asia. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from some "accident claim" team saying there’d been a small crash linked to this address - total rubbish, never happened.

Didn’t answer the call, it went straight to answerphone but no message was left. I used 1471 and managed to get the caller’s number. I used to get loads of texts on my mobile from these so-called ambulance chasers claiming I had £4000 to claim from an "accident" I was supposedly in. I reported it to TPS back then cos only my family have my mobile number, and I’d even blocked that number. Now I’m getting calls on my landline, which is ex-directory AND registered with TPS, and I’m very careful who I give it to. Honestly, where are they getting these numbers from?

I just had a rather amusing call from a bloke claiming to be “Max”, asserting he was 25 and working for some Road Traffic Investigation agency. Curiously, he switched gears and started touting free holidays! I quizzed him on how he got my number, especially since it’s unlisted, and he had the audacity to say it was from my husband-even though I’m not even married! He clearly wasn’t keen on my barrage of inquiries, as he abruptly ended the call. Quite amusing, really! I’m rather keen to see if he’s bold enough to ring again!

Got a call from this number as soon as I got back home tonight. I haven’t been in any kind of accident. I just wanted to know how they got my number, since it’s unlisted. The woman on the phone said something about my info being shared from some kind of database, maybe accident related, but then she quickly said sorry and didn’t explain further before hanging up. The number is legit (I rang it myself to check), and it's linked to someone claiming to be a law firm called "Lawyers Attorney" based at Walker House, Exchange Flags, Liverpool. There actually is a law firm at Walker House, but they go by the name Jackson Canter, so I’m fairly certain this ain’t them. I’m gonna report them to the TPS and plan to keep calling these muppets just to annoy them a bit - purely for a laugh, obviously.

The man said his name was Mark Robinson. He mentioned some accident that supposedly happened "in the past couple of years" but wouldn’t share any names because of some "data protection law" or whatever, and couldn’t provide the car’s registration either. This place rang me 5 times on 22/12/2015 and then 13 times on 5/01/2016 on a business phone line, always some Asian bloke called Peter. At one point I had Peter and Tony talking on two separate calls at once. I told them to take me off their list and they agreed, but as soon as I hung up they phoned again. When I pressed them for a name, they were unable to provide one and abruptly ended the call. Since I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, I lodged a complaint with them. Just today, I got a response. It turns out the culprit is "LAW 4U SERVICES LTD," and TPS has asked them to look into my complaint, giving them a fortnight to get back to me. We run a virtual call centre with around a thousand incoming lines and in just the past couple of days, this number has already made over 2000 calls. It's really messing things up for us because real customers can't get through, everything’s being clogged by their autodialler flooding our system.

I keep receiving calls on our business phone from this number, but they hang up as soon as we don’t respond to initiate a proper conversation. I’ve repeatedly informed them that we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service. As of today, the 15th of October 2015, I’ve already counted five of these nuisance calls, the last one coming in at 13:07!

They said something about an accident centre or whatever, I couldn’t catch the first bit clearly but heard accident and just hung up straight away.

adam smith, sounded very indian and really hard to get what he was saying, called me from 01513241005, Liverpool Merseyside, about a road traffic accident supposedly on 13/10/15 at 5.27. they asked if i'd been in any crashes in the last three years? quite suspicious call.

Dropped the call as soon as I picked up. I tried ringing them back and let it go until it stopped ringing, then I got the engaged signal. This aint the first time they’ve been ringing me.

Yesterday, a lady rang my wife’s mobile saying it was regarding an accident that happened 3 years ago, but my wife said she hadn’t been in any accident. Then today, we got a call on the landline with the exact same story and my wife gave the same answer again.

Got a call from UK Investigations, asked for his phone number 3 times - each time he just said 'why?' then hung up :O) I'm registered with TPS too! Same thing happened yesterday, I told them about the £200k fine a firm got, phone just cut off. No thanks, saved the number anyway.

A woman with an accent that sounded quite foreign called my office line (which happens to be a government establishment) stating she was from the UK Investigations Branch. Oddly enough, she didn’t inquire about anyone specifically by name, but insisted that their records indicated I had been in an accident within the last three years and requested I verify this claim. When I probed her about the source of her information, since it was clearly inaccurate, she abruptly terminated the call. Quite peculiar, wouldn't you say?

Got a call at my work number (a government agency) from someone saying they were with the UK Investigations Department about an accident I'd supposedly had in the last three years. When I asked how they knew about it, they just dropped the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent asking for details about any accidents that happened in the past three years.

Got a call from a guy named John with an Indian accent asking if I had any accidents in the past 3 years. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

This bloke said he was in Ireland, but when I asked which city, he went with Portsmouth! Then when I asked where he thought he was ringing, he said England, but he was actually calling Scotland! Honestly, they should sort their geography out. We’re on the TPS register here too, but it doesn't stop the spam calls. Best thing is to mess with them a bit, have some fun - they’ll hang up quick enough ‘cause it’s costing them cash. If only the UK government would get tougher on these spam callers, a small fine just doesn’t cut it.

I usually dont answer if I dont know the number. This one has rang me two times in a couple days now. No voicemail left either. Im on the TPS list too but it doesnt seem to stop these annoying calls. It feels like harrassment, maybe even a bit risky, so my advice is just dont pick up if you dont know the number, or if its hidden or says unavailable. If its something legit, they will try another way to contact you. If more people ignore these calls, eventually the people behind them will get how pointless it is, and we’ll be better off for it.

I never answer calls from numbers I don’t recognise. This particular number has disturbed me twice within just two days! I’m registered with TPS as well, but it feels rather pointless given the incessant stream of these annoying callers. It’s not just bothersome; it could actually be quite risky. My advice to everyone is clear: don’t answer calls from unfamiliar numbers, especially if they’re withheld or show up as unavailable. If it’s something important, the caller will surely find another way to contact you. If we all choose to ignore these intrusive calls, perhaps these persistent callers will eventually grasp how foolish they are, while we come off looking quite clever.

I got a call earlier today at a quarter past two about some accident details. The number that came through was 0151 324 1005, and the chap on the line was named Harry.

Any idea who this might be? They rang earlier while I was tied up with something. Didn't bother leaving a message, though. I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, so I shouldn't be getting these calls!
