I haven’t picked up any of the couple of calls I got from this number, but if it’s from some energy switching outfit, that kinda explains it. I switched energy suppliers about a year ago, and just recently my supplier got in touch to ask if I want to change my tariff since my fixed deal is nearly over. Checking my emails, I see I used Simply Switch through Money Expert (not Money Saving Expert). I reckon when I signed up with them to help me find a new supplier, I probably also allowed them to contact me when my fixed term ended to assist with getting the best deal for the next period.

It was Simply Switch. They told me last year they helped me move to EON (I wasn’t sure if they actually did or not). Anyway, I mentioned I’d switched again, this time to Scottish Power. They were really sorry about the mix up and said they’d make sure to remove me from their list. They were quite polite and easy to deal with, no faffing about.
