Someone called me pretending they were from O2.

Got calls from someone claiming to be with O2, saying they had a new cheaper phone contract deal. They kept pushing me for my bank card info so they could do some sort of credit check. Really dodgy, cos after that the calls just kept coming from different numbers, some from Wales, then Scotland, even one from London. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian, said he was calling on behalf of O2. Bit strange tho cos I use a totally different mobile provider.

I got a call today from someone claiming to be from O2, but the lady on the line had a thick Indian accent which sounded a bit dodgy. Then they passed me over to a bloke with the same accent. They were offering some amazing deal, saying it was open even if I’m not an O2 customer. They sent me some codes via text, which I deliberately didn’t read properly. I kept chatting away just to waste some of their time. When I called them out on it being a scam, the guy suddenly got all defensive and started spouting nonsense. I just said thank you and hung up.

Someone rang saying they were from my mobile network. The call came from a number based in Portree, Isle of Skye, which seemed odd since I doubt O2 has a call centre out there 😂🙄. I ended up hanging up and tried calling them back using a number that looked pretty similar... ended up blocking it straight away.
