Got a call from a guy with an accent saying he was from Currys PC World and said he was working together with my phone company. He then asked me who I was. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I didn’t open the messages but asked how long the code would be valid for, and they said just a couple of minutes. I told them I’d get back to them and then they just ended the call. Definitely felt dodgy to me.

When I cheekily said I had a posh £1000 Nokia, the caller lost their sense of humour and snapped that it wasn’t amusing. Well, I reckon the only thing not amusing here is their pathetic attempt to con people!
