I tried ringing back but as soon as I called they just ended the call without saying a word. When I called again, they cut off after just 4 seconds. Strange behaviour.

They said they're from Currys PC World, but I'm almost certain it was a scam.

SCAM ALERT - These individuals will initiate a password reset on your service provider’s account (O2) and then cleverly ask you for the four-digit passcode they’ve just sent to you. This gives them the means to get into your account. After that, they’ll go ahead and change your address and even request a new SIM card. In less than a week, they could potentially access your account to modify any passwords that rely on SMS one-time codes.

Stay vigilant and protect yourself!

I got a call from someone claiming they were with o2, but it felt kinda fishy. They tried to get me to give personal info, so I'm pretty sure it was a scam. Be careful if you get calls like this pretending to be from O2!

Someone phoned me saying they were from Three mobile offering a £30 iPhone contract deal and wanted my email address. But I thought it was odd since I’m already on contract with Three, why would they need my email? When they asked, I made up that the signal was rubbish and hung up. Then they kept ringing from different numbers after I blocked the first ones. I wouldn’t trust these calls at all. Some of the numbers they used were 01478 300017, 01478 300016, 01478 300018, 01478 300032, and 01204204017. Avoid them!

Got a call that seemed like one of those gas meter info scams. They used the wrong name and mentioned a place close to where I live but called it mine. I pretended to be interested for a moment, but honestly, don’t waste your time picking up.
