A chap with a decent command of English called, claiming to be from Microsoft. When I pointed out that I suspected it was a scam, he became quite defensive and started to push back. I decided to end the conversation there and hung up on him.

I received a call but there was nothing but silence on the other end. Quite odd, isn't it?

Claimed to be affiliated with Microsoft, did he? I inquired whether he was dialing from their Reading office, and just like that, he cut the line. Quite odd, wouldn't you say?

I'm absolutely exasperated by these nuisance calls! They ring, but when I answer, there's nothing but silence before the line goes dead. It's such a bother! 😩

Remarkably tenacious! I received two calls within just a few moments! Initially, the chap claimed he was representing Virgin Media, then suddenly switched his story and said he was from Sky. He even had the audacity to threaten me with a block on my computer!

Allegedly from Virgin Media, they called me, addressing me by name, and inquired about the number of devices connected to my internet. When I pressed for a reason, they claimed that one or more of my gadgets were sending error messages related to the broadband service. I found it rather unsettling and ended the call. It struck me as borderline harassment.

Received a rather peculiar call; the accent was so odd I couldn't discern whom they were attempting to reach. When I inquired about their identity, they were rather reticent and didn't reply at all.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Sky, insisting there was an issue with our computer. After a quick chat, we ended the call, only for them to ring us back twice in quick succession. We chose not to pick up the phone again. Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to check online to see who it was.

I let it ring through to voicemail, but unsurprisingly, they didn’t bother to leave a message. It’s the usual kind of call that I get from numbers like this, so I typically just disregard them altogether.

I just had a rather suspicious encounter with a chap who identified himself as part of the Microsoft Support team. He was of Asian descent but wasn’t adhering to the usual protocol you'd expect from them. He insisted on gaining access to my computer. I can’t shake the feeling that this could be a scam attempt or something more nefarious like identity theft. Best to be cautious!

I received a call from a woman purporting to be from the "Microsoft tech support team." She exclaimed that she had identified several problems with my computer and suggested she could resolve everything remotely. Allow me to save you the hassle — it was all a ruse! Her real intention was to gain remote access to my system.

Received a call earlier from a number claiming to be associated with TalkTalk or Windows, suggesting that my computer details had been compromised. It was a Scottish number, yet there was no hint of a Scottish accent at all. They inquired if I was currently at my computer and were quite persistent about ringing me again tomorrow. Definitely raised a few eyebrows!

I received a call from a woman with an Asian accent who began chatting about computers on a global scale. She inquired whether I had a laptop or PC, to which I replied in the negative. Then she wanted to know if anyone else in my home possessed such devices. Again, I answered no. She pressed on, asking if I was absolutely certain. At that point, I decided to hang up.
