Someone called claiming to be from Microsoft, asking when I last used my PC, then telling me it had been hacked. I get calls like this all the time, often several times a day, with the same sort of story. I told them I’d ask a mate who’s into forensic computing to have a look, and that seemed to annoy them quite a bit. They rang me back straight away from a different number ending in .9901, pushing me hard to let them sort it out!
