Today I got a call from a lady with a Scottish accent, who kept going on about a car crash I don’t even know about. I told her she probably dialled the wrong number, but she wouldn’t take the hint. Had to be a bit blunt just to get her to hang up. Later on, I looked up the number and saw it's known to be linked to scams!

I got a call about some car crash claim where they said I was a passenger in a small fender bender. I kept telling them it wasn’t me and asked them to take my number off their list. Honestly, it was tough getting a word in - they kept pushing, asking loads more questions “for their records” about a crash that never happened. It got pretty annoying so I just ended the call. I bet they still have my number saved somewhere though.

Got a call from them out of the blue about a car crash... except it wasn't me at all! Then they started asking if maybe someone else living here or a passenger in the last couple years was involved. Seriously, how do they not understand I haven’t had any accident?

So this caller claimed to be from some motor accident insurance company. I asked loads of questions about their firm, details of the accident, and even about how they handle my info under GDPR - but they couldn’t answer any of it properly. All they did was say they were just reading from some info they supposedly had. Thing is, they didn’t have anything at all. I’ve never had any kind of car crash or accident. Feels like a total scam to me.
