Whenever I get a cold call, they normally hang up before the voicemail starts. If it actually goes to the message, I listen quickly to check if it’s someone I want to speak with and cut it off if it is. Otherwise, I just hang up straight away. Since I started doing this, I haven’t had any annoying scam or cold calls bothering me anymore.

Each time I picked up, the caller just cut off. Since I’ve got relatives in Glasgow, I dialled back. When someone answered, a message said my call was important and to please wait. That’s when I realised it was a scam for sure.

I was on hold for ages, fifteen minutes to be precise, and when I finally attempted to return the call, they abruptly cut me off. If this is indeed some sort of scam linked to a car accident, perhaps we ought to turn the tables on them. Imagine wasting their time just as they do to us, feigning that we've been in an accident and delving into all the details-albeit completely fictitious ones! Then, after a good fifteen minutes, we could just hang up. Might as well have some fun with it, since we’ve got time to spare! 😂 Let’s see how they enjoy being on the receiving end of such nonsense!
