Whenever I get a cold call, they normally hang up before the voicemail starts. If it actually goes to the message, I listen quickly to check if it’s someone I want to speak with and cut it off if it is. Otherwise, I just hang up straight away. Since I started doing this, I haven’t had any annoying scam or cold calls bothering me anymore.

Somebody rang me up saying I’d been in a crash, which was totally wrong. They must’ve got the details from the Accident division or something!

It rang a couple of times and then went silent. Definitely sounds like one of those automated calls, likely about some accident that never happened to me.

Each time I picked up, the caller just cut off. Since I’ve got relatives in Glasgow, I dialled back. When someone answered, a message said my call was important and to please wait. That’s when I realised it was a scam for sure.

I wasn’t sure what the call was meant to be about since the person on the other end just hung up as soon as I picked up. It took ages for them to actually answer in the first place. Then, when I rang back, all I got was this annoying recorded message telling me my call was important and someone would be with me soon, while some music played in the background. Quite strange really.

I waited on hold for like 15 minutes then they just dropped the call when I tried to ring back. If it’s one of those car crash scams, we should totally flip it and keep them chatting, pretending we’ve had a crash (obviously making stuff up). Drag it out for a good 15 minutes since we’ve got nothing better to do 😂 bet they won’t like that at all!
