I’m not really sure what’s meant by “scam” here? I’ve looked through all the comments and haven’t found anyone saying they were asked for money or their bank info. I’ve dealt with companies like this in the past and never had any issues. Honestly, judging from the way some comments are written, it seems like some folks might just be a bit quick to call something a scam without really knowing what’s going on. My advice is to just hear them out carefully, and if they ask for anything that makes you uneasy, then just stop the conversation right there.

Total scam, claiming to be from some accident firm. I had a go at putting them on and before long they just cut me off. Dunno if I said something daft or they just clocked I was messing about.

Had these lot ring me up about some made-up car accident payout. They were really pushy and kept switching numbers so blocking one didn’t stop them ringing back - kept appearing from loads of different numbers like 01417391461 and 07454669080. Seriously, don’t waste your time with them. Like others said, just ask who they are, what company, and a number you can call back on - then hang up and google the number yourself. Proper annoying. They kept calling my phone up here in the Western Isles over three days straight (3rd, 4th, and 5th April). So frustrating!

Got a call today from 0141 739 2515 about a car accident claim but they just cut me off. Same thing happened last friday from 0141 739 1461 - also car accident claim. They keep switching numbers so i’ve blocked both now.

That number with the code (739) ain't from Glasgow or anywhere nearby. Be careful, it's probably some scammer trying to trick you. I've blocked it myself to be safe.

Absolute scoundrels. They rang me up claiming I had a car accident and was due some compensation. I told them I’d never been in any accident and asked where they’d pulled that info from - they said some database. I said it was shocking that, especially during a worldwide pandemic, they’re out here targeting folks who’ve never had an accident. Not surprisingly, they just dropped the call.
