Got a call today from 0141 7391457, claiming to be from some law office about a car crash I’m supposed to have been in - which I definitely wasn’t! I asked them to explain what accident they were on about, but naturally they wouldn’t give me anything. I told them how rude and unfair it was to ring me out of the blue like that about something that never happened, and then the bloke just ended the call on me. Quite frustrating!

So, I got a call from an Asian guy who couldn’t give me any of my own info when I pressed him. I kept pushing but all he knew was my last name and address. Honestly, if you’re aware of who lives here, answering a basic question shouldn’t be hard. I warned him that looking up his number online probably shows ‘scammer’! Seriously, folks, don’t be afraid to challenge these muppets and make them give you plenty of details about yourself. If they can’t, it means they don’t have your full info - something any genuine company you deal with definitely would.
