Today I got a call from a guy speaking with an accent, saying my internet was hacked or something and that I needed to let him into my computer to sort it out. It sounded dodgy from the start, so I just ended the call. Turns out it really was a scam, lucky I didn’t fall for it!

This number rang me earlier, and I didn’t pick up straight away. Thought it might be my daughter, so I called back. The voice that answered spoke in really poor English, so I just ended the call. Whoever’s behind these calls, if you’re willing to share your info and where you live, I wouldn’t mind dropping by to have a proper chat about that accident that landed you in hospital. Bit sad, really!

Is there any way to put an end to these calls? I keep getting them every week, and even though I block the number, they just ring from a different one next time. It’s so frustrating. They mostly use the 0141 code, but the worst bit is they usually can’t even say my name right or speak proper English at all. There’s gotta be some method to stop this nonsense for good.

Claims Direct Even though my number is registered with the TPS, your company keeps ringing me from 0141 739 0941 and clearly refuses to respect my wish not to be contacted by your call centre. I haven’t had any accidents and have no interest in your services whatsoever. I’m especially uncomfortable with these calls when I find out your call centre staff are based abroad, often Asian. These calls are nothing short of harassment and I’m done with repeatedly telling what seem like clueless or unlistening agents to remove me from your database.
