Got a call from someone saying they do "Local Services" like house cleaning or gardening. I said no thanks and ended the call. The weird thing is the number’s from Glasgow, and I live way over in the East of England, so clearly this person hasn’t got a clue about where they’re calling! Feels like a total scam to me. My mum got called by this number twice in just a few hours. She’s 86, really quick on the uptake, but they kept on going so she barely had a chance to say anything. They claimed they wanted her to sign up for some kind of local service directory, where you could then choose “tradespeople nearby” if you needed help. Funny thing is, they already had her email??? Be careful and just hang up if they ring - it’s definitely a scam.
