They called saying they were from some medical alert service and then began asking all sorts of personal stuff. I just put the phone down. Don’t trust the number 0141 729 8572, it’s definitely a scam.

I got a call on 11th Feb 2022 from a bloke with a British accent claiming to be from some medical alert service. He said I qualified for a free medical alert bracelet. When I asked why he thought I needed one, he told me they got a list from the NHS of people with medical conditions. I then asked what condition they had on record for me. He couldn’t answer and said he was 'new' at the job. Realising I wasn’t buying it, he quickly said goodbye and hung up.

I got a call about a Free Medical Alert gadget, and the person on the line wanted to ask a few things to check if I qualified. When they asked if I was over 50, I just ended the call there. We're on the TPS list, so it was annoying. I couldn't really gather enough details to file a TPS complaint. There was a bit of a pause when I picked up, like it might’ve been an overseas call, but the accent sounded quite British to me.

Some bloke called himself Alex and said he was ringing from Medical Alert, telling me I might qualify for a free neck pendant according to their records. He wanted me to confirm I was over 50, but I told him I wasn’t interested and hung up straight away. Then about half an hour later, he called back again. My husband mentioned he got a nearly identical call a couple of days earlier.

I got a call from someone saying they were with Medical Alert, which was a bit worrying since I’ve got elderly family members. They kept going on about a free pendant I could get, but I couldn't really get a chance to say anything. It all felt dodgy so I just ended up hanging up straight away.

I had an interesting phone call today from someone claiming to be with the "Medical Alert Centre" based in Dorset. They mentioned that their records indicated I could qualify for a complimentary medical alert pendant. Then, out of the blue, he inquired whether I was over the age of 50. Curiosity got the better of me, so I probed into how their business operates and generates revenue. Instead of answering, he began to talk about what a medical alert pendant actually is. I cut him short, stating I was already familiar with it, and reiterated my original question. At that point, he abruptly ended the conversation. It seems that Dorset is closer to Glasgow (with the 0141 area code) than I had originally thought!

This bloke was definitely up to no good. He kept asking if I was above 50 so he could supposedly offer me a "free medical alert bracelet." Pretty obvious this is just a trick to target older folks who might be easy to fool.

So this person called saying they were from some medical alert company offering a free alarm pendant. They kept asking for loads of personal info, which felt off. I got a call about some free health screening, they asked if I was above 50. Got really suspicious and just hung up, but then the same bloke rang me right back and it ended up going to voicemail. After seeing my earlier post, I decided to call the number back. Turns out, the caller was from Filitastica, a lead gen firm operating out of the Philippines (check their website filitastica.com). It looks like a UK business might be dodging the TPS rules by using an offshore call centre to make their calls.

A friendly sounding young guy called me about some 'free' medical alert pendant I was supposedly eligible for. He never bothered to confirm who he was speaking to before firing off loads of questions like if I was over 50, used a walking stick or frame, or had any health problems. He said his boss gave him a list every day of people to ring. When I asked where that list came from, he got a bit flustered and said he was new at the job, suggesting I speak to his manager. I told him I wasn’t interested, said he was wasting my time, and ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me!

Since 2020, I've been getting calls from this same number every single day. I've told them loads of times I'm not interested and asked them to stop, but no matter how many times I block it, they keep ringing nonstop. It's really annoying and stressful to have to deal with it all the time.

Just had a relative discharged from hospital, so it’s no shock that those so-called “medical scammers” have somehow got hold of our phone number thanks to the NHS magic! They didn’t bother leaving any voicemail, probably hoping we’d ring them back to either sell us some “treatment” or try and pinch our bank details. Don’t waste any time on these muppets - not worth it at all. Avoid them like the plague.

01417298574 called me and left a weird message saying something like "we see you lizard." Honestly, I doubt they really know where I am - it’s probably just a fake number they use so they can’t be tracked down. If this was easy to catch, these scams wouldn’t be running wild. It’s mad that the police can’t seem to do anything; it’s obviously a huge cash cow for people who don’t want to work properly. I wonder if the phone companies get a cut since someone’s gotta pay for the calls coming through, right? Anyway, don’t bother answering or calling back.
