Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon Prime, telling me my payment hadn’t gone through and they’d stop my service. They were really pushy about making me pay again. I told them I don’t even have Amazon Prime, and then they just ended the call straight away! Total scam.

I received a call from a gentleman with an Indian accent claiming to be "Harry" from Microsoft, insisting that my computer was infected with viruses. When I mentioned that I didn't own a computer, he just kept repeating the same lines over and over. Eventually, a woman who introduced herself as "Jenny," apparently a senior technician, took over the conversation. I reiterated my lack of a computer, but she firmly asserted that I did indeed have one. So, in a moment of cheekiness, I asked her what brand it was. That seemed to set her off; she shouted that my computer was blocked and that she had no patience for what she termed “daftness” before abruptly ending the call. I find it utterly unacceptable for someone representing Microsoft to treat customers in such an unprofessional manner. Additionally, navigating through so many images to verify my identity feels a bit tedious-I'm not here for some ridiculous exercise identifying bicycles, buses, or pedestrian crossings!

I received a couple of calls today from the number 01417298569 on 29th October 2021. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft and insisted that I switch on my computer, which I outright refused to do! What's troubling is that she knew my last name, yet I remain sceptical about their intentions. The call quality was really dreadful too. Now I'm left wondering what further actions I should take. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Got a robo call today claiming that HMRC was looking into me for fraud and warning that a warrant for my arrest was about to be issued. They told me to press 1 immediately to sort it out. Complete scam, everyone watch out!

Got a call saying there’s a criminal case filed against me. Sounds like a total scam to me. Definitely wouldn’t trust anyone calling with threats like that. Just ignore and block!

Got a call from a robot saying it was HMRC fraud team. They told me I was under investigation and if I wanted to clear things up I had to send them cash. Obviously just a scam, don’t fall for it!

Just a little something that stands out from the usual comments. It appears that the scam involving HMRC, where one is quizzed about tax fraud or arrest, and then urged to press 1 to proceed, is making the rounds once more.

I received a rather courteous automated phone call, purporting to be from HMRC and their fraud division, indicating they were trying to get in touch with me. I can see how this could be quite alarming for individuals, and I truly believe it should be halted. I've taken the liberty of reporting it and blocking the number.

I received a rather amusing call from an American-sounding automated voice informing me that there’s an arrest warrant against me for some so-called dodgy financial dealings. Quite the laugh, wasn’t it? Ha ha!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from PayPal, saying they'd declined a payment of £600. When I asked where his office was based, he just ended the call straight away. Pretty obvious scam attempt if you ask me.
