At about half past two this afternoon, I got a call from the number 01417298567.

Received a call from someone who clearly had both my name and address. They claimed to be reaching out about my insurance coverage, stating that it was nearing its expiration.

When I asked the chap on the line to cease these persistent calls, he suggested I fetch my debit card to sort it out by signing up for a warranty. He then went on about how Boris Johnson had purportedly announced that, by law, all white goods must now possess warranties. That’s when I decided it was time to hang up.

Just like everyone else, received an unwanted call out of the blue. There was complete silence after about twenty seconds, so I decided to hang up.

They called me using my previous address info, asked for where I live now but I had no clue who they were. I decided to just hang up, be careful with this one.

Got calls from a blocked number today, silent each time, happened like 6 times now. Fingers crossed they stop and don’t switch to a new number.

Sounds like another scam from one of those call centres in India! They keep switching up their numbers all the time, so trying to block them is a complete waste of time. Each call comes from somewhere new.
