Got two calls in the past day from a woman with a Glasgow accent. She used my name and asked if I owned the house. I told her no, but she kept going on about heating entitlements or something. I said I wasn’t interested and ended the call. My number’s supposed to be ex-directory, so how do they even have it? Proper annoying, won’t be picking up again.

Someone called asking for my late husband by name. When I told them he'd passed away, they just hung up on me. No sorry or anything, super rude. They didn't even say who they were or anything! Really put me off.

This woman called me claiming yer from a company called ‘evergreen’ and said they were doing loft insulation in my area. I asked her how she got my details like name, number and address; she said it came from some national database. Then I asked how the company got that info and she mentioned it was purchased from a third party. When I asked what I could do to help, she just suddenly hung up on me.
