Somebody rang me up saying they were offering a free loft insulation inspection because of problems with condensation. They said it was all part of some national campaign that I’d never heard about before. When I told her I wasn’t interested, she got a bit rude and kept saying it was a 'legal' obligation, clearly just trying to trick people who might fall for it. She also promised to send some paperwork proving it was legit, but I really don’t expect to get anything through the post.

So I got a call from someone asking about a car crash I was supposedly in. When I told her she sounded like a scammer, she just ended the call right away. Bit sketchy if you ask me.

It's so weird when you pick up the phone and the person on the other end just drops the call without saying a word. Got a call from someone saying they wanted to inspect our loft to add insulation. We told her we already had enough insulation up there. Then she went on about them doing a quick inspection, just 20 minutes and they’d record a video or something. We said no thanks, our loft’s fine as it is, and she just hung up on us out of nowhere.

I got a call from an Indian man who said there was some kind of car crash involving me - he even knew my last name and where I live. I wasn’t having it though, told him quite loudly and clear to find a different job, one that didn’t involve scams or dishonesty. After that, I made sure to report it to Action Fraud.
