I got a call from this number but with a 3 tacked on the end. Didn't know who it was so I just let it ring out.

I received a call from this number earlier today, stating that my computer had been accessed during the early hours, between 3 and 4 am. It seemed to me that the caller, who had a distinctly Asian accent, was fishing for me to claim it wasn’t me, likely so they could concoct some charge against me. Instead, I just went along and admitted it was indeed me using the computer. They are incredibly rude; the moment you utter something they take issue with, they just cut the line. It's hardly surprising that individuals like this face the backlash they do. Complete imbeciles, if you ask me - they ought to be sent packing, and I’d gladly be there to see them off at the airport!

Got a call from this number earlier, some guy called "Daniel" with an Indian accent claiming he was from Windows saying there was an issue with my Windows account. I don’t even own a computer and if I did, I wouldn’t give my landline as a contact. Could hear a lot of noise like a busy call centre in the background.

Got a call this morning on my work phone from a guy who sounded Asian, which already made me wary. He claimed to be from a Microsoft authorised dealer based in Paddington - yeah, that was his exact line. Said Microsoft had told him to reach out to all Windows users and started asking me to press certain keys. I just pretended to go along with it but didn’t actually do anything, then put him on hold, and he quickly hung up. Pretty smart ruse, whatever the scam was, it almost sounded legit. WARNING: don’t get tricked by it!

I received a call from a woman named Fiona, who had an Indian accent. She claimed to be calling from BT, and told me that someone had been using my internet overnight without my knowledge. She insisted that I log in so she could rectify the situation. I mentioned that I couldn’t quite grasp what she was saying and requested a written letter instead, so my son could assist me with the matter. Suddenly, the call ended abruptly. I'm quite certain it was a scam.

I’m so fed up with these scam calls, I let him have it with every rude and racist thing I could think of, even dragged in some Islamophobic remarks. He was just chuckling away when I ended the call! What a sad little nobody.

I've received roughly twenty calls from this number. It's clearly a scam, but I can only imagine that some individuals might be taken in by it. After perusing the other remarks, it appears that BT ought to take action regarding this issue!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent saying I was owed £190 for a service I never signed up for. These fraudsters have been pestering me for years. When I told them I don’t have a bank account, they suggested opening a Western Union account. I’ve already reported them to Western Union. It’s about time the government or BT stepped in to put a stop to these scams.

Got a call bright and early at 7:40 this morning from this number. I could hear loads of chatter like a call centre in the background. A bloke with a thick Indian accent said his name was something like Richard Wilson and claimed to be from BT’s security team. He said there’d been suspicious activity on my IP and said hackers might be involved. He told me they’d blocked my internet and wanted me to log in straight away so he could fix it. I told him he was definitely a con and that I’d contact BT myself, then hung up.

I received an early morning call today at 7:40 from this number. There was a definite buzz of call centre commotion in the background. A chap, who had a strong Indian accent, introduced himself as Richard Wilson, or something along those lines. He claimed to be with BT's security division and mentioned there had been some strange goings-on linked to my IP address, suggesting it could be hackers at play. He asserted that my internet access had been suspended and urged me to log in immediately so he could assist in rectifying the situation. I quickly realised it was a scam and informed him so, stating that I’d get in touch with BT directly later on, before ending the call.

Received a call yesterday - I believe it was from BT, though the person had a bit of a foreign twang. They attempted to ring me again this morning at 7:50. I answered, but there was this awkward silence, so I ended up hanging up. When I tried calling that number back, it said it wasn’t in service. Quite strange, if you ask me!

What a pointless scam call. The guy had an Asian accent and you could hear kids shouting in the background. He kept repeating, "Hi, I’m your dad." Sounded like a bloke in his thirties. Total waste of time and just dumb.

Got a call today around 11:10am, the person claimed there were issues with my internet connection. The accent suggested they were probably from somewhere in India or nearby. They were really pushy and quite rude. Right away I figured it was a scam, so I asked them to prove who they were. When I told them to send me an email to confirm the problem, they just hung up. This happened not long after I phoned BT about a letter they sent me about payment info. Definitely do not deal with these people, they’re clearly trying to scam you.

got a call at 8.05 in the morning but my voicemail is pretty long and clearly says "i’m on the tps and all calls will be reported." i also mention i don’t pick up international, withheld or out of area calls! everyone i know just waits till the beep and if i’m about, i’ll get back to them. even the hospital, which always hides its number, leaves a message. funny how the longer the message, the faster they seem to hang up. i always make sure to report every call to the tps anyway.

Got a call pretty early too, just like others said! Luckily, I figured it was a scam right away. I humoured the person for a bit before just ending the call and letting them ramble on. They ring at silly hours to try and catch you off guard. They kept saying they were from Microsoft, which is so annoying. A mate of mine, who's older, actually fell for it and had cash taken from her bank. Such awful scammers!
