Got a call bright and early at 8.05am, but my answerphone is pretty lengthy. I make sure to say something like "I'm signed up with the TPS and this call will be reported." Plus, I let them know I won’t pick up if the number is international, out of area or withheld. Everyone I know, family and mates included, are aware to hang on and speak after the beep - if I’m around, I’ll respond. Even the hospital, which always has a hidden number, leaves a message first. Seems like the longer the answerphone spiel, the faster they hang up! I still report every single call to the TPS though.

Someone just called me saying my internet was down or something. If they bother me again, I’m gonna ask them to belt out a Christmas carol first before talking to them!

Like the others mentioned before, this guy claimed to be from BT, warning that hackers were messing with our internet and insisting we should turn off the router overnight! The voice was very robotic and obviously scripted, with an Indian accent. He got annoyed when I wasn’t convinced and told him we're with another company and didn’t buy his story. I think he muttered something in a language I didn’t understand before hanging up on me.

Got a call today around 9:12 in the morning from someone named Rishi Rasha or a name close to that. They gave the same callback number mentioned earlier. The story was exactly the same. There wasn’t any usual call centre background noise either.

Today I got a call from this number saying they were from BT Broadband. I told them I don’t have BT broadband, and they kind of just stuttered and didn’t really have a reply. I ended up just hanging up on them.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. Called by someone with a strong Indian accent, sounded like they were working from a hectic call centre. They told me my internet had been compromised by hackers abroad. I just ignored it and hung up after letting them talk nonsense for a bit. When I looked back a bit later, the line was dead.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were in a hectic call centre, with a strong Indian accent. They told me my internet was being hacked from another country. I just ignored it and let them blabber on for a bit, then when I glanced back they’d already ended the call.

Somebody rang claiming to be from BT’s tech team, saying that hackers abroad had been messing with my internet. The voice sounded familiar, like someone who phoned me with the same spiel just last week. I mentioned the police were listening in on the call, and she quickly said it was just for training. Quite a clear attempt at a con, which I shut down straight away.

Got one of those fake calls just after 8 in the morning. Woman with a continental sounding accent saying she’s from BT’s tech support. Heard the same tale before, basically trying to get your bank card info under the pretence of some ‘check’. Total scam.

Just had a call on my landline today, Monday 19th December 2016. I said hello and after around half a minute, the line went dead with no one saying a word. I noticed I've had calls before on Friday and Saturday from almost the same number, only the last three digits vary. Those came in around 9.20am and 9.42am, so 2.40pm is a bit of a different time. Honestly, I'm really tired of these calls, especially since I'm not feeling great and it’s making things worse. Wish they’d just quit it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be BT, asking me to turn on my computer so they could look into my internet. Problem is, I use a totally different provider. When I questioned them about it, they just hung up on me. Proper cheeky scam!

Make sure to add 020 3287 2062 to your blacklist. I just got a ring from some bloke called John Williams, saying he's from the BT Internet tech support, telling me my internet was having issues and might be under attack. When I asked for a number to call back and confirm, he gave me that same 020 3287 2062 number to get in touch and ask for him. You could hear loads of Indian accents in the background, like a big call centre. Once I told "John" I was sceptical, he just hung up. I also mentioned I doubted “John” was his real name.

I just had a ring from someone saying he was John Williams from BT internet tech support, telling me my connection was full of errors and getting hacked. I asked for a callback number to check if it was legit, and he gave me the 020 3287 2062 to call and ask for him. Seemed like a big call centre, but I could hear loads of Indian accents chatting away in the background. When I said I wasn’t convinced, he hung up straight away. I also told this “John” that I wasn’t buying that was his real name.

Got six calls today from 01391 1735864, all silent, then just a quick robotic “goodbye” before hanging up. Tried ringing them back to sort it out, but the number’s unreachable. Classic annoying behaviour!

Had a call from this number saying some foreigner was trying to hack into my computer. I told the lady I was just about to leave, so she said she’d ring again on Wednesday. Really happy I found this site before things got weird!

Got a call this morning from someone saying my IP got hacked and was being accessed from Mountain View, California. I asked for proof and they gave me some BT engineer ID, something like DE1097. When I mentioned I’d ring BT myself to check, they kept urging me to do what they said quickly to save time. Seemed really dodgy to me, definitely a scam.
