At first, the caller wanted to know if I owned a dog, which was odd. After I said no, they suddenly switched to asking about the brand of my washing machine! It was pretty clear this was a scam, so I just ended the call.

Got a call today from this number, didn’t bother picking up since I didn’t recognise it. No voicemail or anything left. This is the second time in two days they’ve tried. I checked it out here and it seems like it’s just one of those scam calls. I’ve blocked them now.

Didn’t pick up and didn’t leave any message. From what I’m seeing here, this seems like a scam call. Just blocked it.

Claiming to represent O2, a fraudster with a pronounced East Asian accent contacted me, attempting to lure me in with a tempting 30% reduction on my mobile bill.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE customer service, but it felt a bit off. Sounded like a scam to me. Just be careful if you get calls like that!

I got a call from a woman with a really thick eastern accent saying she was from 02. She was offering a 30% discount on my mobile bill, but it just sounded dodgy to me. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I answered the call but nobody said a word before they just ended it.

I got a call from +441313813877, a woman said she was from EE, offering me a 40% discount for being a loyal customer (which is funny, cause I’m not even with EE). I played along and asked if I was actually with EE, just to confuse her a bit. She awkwardly asked me the same question back, and when I repeated it, she just hung up, clearly annoyed.

Somebody called saying they were from PC World, but I just told them straight up, "No, you’re a scammer." Then they snapped back with all sorts of swear words at me. Either PC World’s service has taken a massive nosedive or I was spot on. I ended the call and blocked the number immediately.

Got a call where the person said they were ringing from Vodafone, saying I could get a discount on my bills for a year! When I asked for some proof they really worked there, they put me through to their “floor manager” who had a really thick accent! They gave the name John Wilson but when I asked them to spell it out, they just cut the call! Pretty clear that was a scam!

I got a call from a woman’s voice, but it was really difficult to make out what she was saying. She claimed I could cut 30% off my bills and said her company was Autosave. When I asked for more details about which bills she meant, the call just got dropped. Maybe it was some sort of robot call, but if that’s the case, why bother with one that’s almost impossible to understand?

I just ignored the call and let it go to voicemail. Got one like that from someone saying they were with Three last week too. Ended up blocking both numbers.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Three, offering a £20 sim-only deal. I’m already paying £10 for mine so I told them no thanks. Felt a bit suspicious to me, not sure they were legit.
