That was a total con.

Someone rang me posing as though they were from O2, claiming they could provide a discount on my mobile contract. Strangely, they seemed completely oblivious to any details regarding my actual account. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Claimed to be representing my mobile provider, but mentioned Vodafone, which is not who I’m with. Seems like a dodgy attempt to pull a fast one on me!

Got a call from this number just now, and it was an automated woman's voice that only said "Goodbye." Kinda feels like they want me to ring back or something.

I got a call from some bloke pretending to be from Vodafone. When I questioned why he was ringing me, he just cut off. Definitely a dodgy scam!

Got a call from someone claiming to be 02, saying I had to update my plan. I told them no way, especially since ever since I switched to 02, my phone has been compromised. All my passwords on various accounts got swapped and now I’m locked out of my email too. Proper frustrating!

The phone rang two times back to back, but I didn’t pick up. After seeing what others said about this number, I decided to block it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Vodafone, offering a crazy deal on the new iPhone 15. It just felt way too good to be real - total scam.

I couldn't answer the call, so I decided to look up this number. Initially, I found no other details, but there was a similar number-just one digit off: 0131 381 3881-which had quite a few negative reports from just yesterday. After checking again, I noticed two more individuals have searched this number today... Suspicious, isn't it? Likely another scam making the rounds!

I've been receiving calls claiming to be from Currys PC World, but the minute I inquire about their location, they turn quite nasty. It's pretty clear this is some sort of scam.

This is the first occasion they’ve reached out to me! My mobile flagged it as a possible spam call and displayed an Amber alert, so I chose to ignore it.

Received a dodgy call masquerading as being from Uber Eats, claiming that the restaurant's tablet required an upgrade for some new software. They were fishing for the restaurant's passcode, which would have allowed them to access the account! It sounded quite genuine, so do keep your wits about you. I reached out to Uber Eats myself, and they assured me this is a complete scam - they would never request such sensitive information over the phone. Stay vigilant!

Received a call earlier from someone purporting to be from O2. I told them I wasn’t a customer of theirs and promptly ended the conversation. Pleased I took the time to look it up-definitely a scam, especially since they’ve been masquerading as various companies.

I picked up the phone and said, "Hello?" After a brief pause of a couple of seconds, I was met with a click followed by some indistinct chatter in the background. Instead of the Scottish voice I was anticipating, a woman with an Indian accent came through the muddled connection, also greeting me with a "Hello?" I promptly ended the call. No offence to India, but it’s high time to address this issue with scammers if you ever hope to reach me with a legitimate call.

I received a call earlier claiming to be from Vodafone, insisting they had a special offer for an upgrade. They asked me to confirm the type of phone I was using. I pointed out that if they were genuinely from Vodafone, they ought to already have that information. I then requested that they remove my number from their list. The accent certainly didn’t sound Scottish-more like it was coming from India. It definitely felt like a scam!

Just received a call about half an hour ago from the number 01313813122.

The sound was really bad, and there was a lady speaking with a strong foreign accent who was mumbling about her company calling for some reason. When I told her I couldn’t catch what she was saying because of the poor microphone, she just didn’t get what I meant. I usually only get official calls or notifications from places I have accounts or bills with through email, so I’m pretty sure this was a scam.
