It had the unmistakable vibe of a call centre. When I greeted them with a "hello," there was nothing but silence - presumably due to a lag. It’s incredibly frustrating that they opt to use local or mobile numbers for this. Quite exasperating, really! 😡

Received a peculiar call from Auto Assist regarding an alleged accident that supposedly happened "sometime within the last two years." The moment I started probing for specifics about how they acquired my information, the bloke on the other end became rather uncomfortable. He insisted he was the top authority available, yet kept dodging my queries about the exact details they held. It all seemed rather fishy, to be honest. Quite a shifty operation, if you ask me.
