Watch out. This Indian guy called my elderly dad who has dementia. He really confused him, said he was from TPS and somehow talked him into giving his bank info. Luckily, we blocked the account just in time before any cash was withdrawn.

Got a call from this number yesterday, some bloke claiming to be from BT about call blockers for nuisance calls. Told him he had no right to call as we're on the TPS, so why was he bothering us? Ended the call straight away. Then today, the same idiot called but from another number, 0132048710, saying my visa card was about to expire and asked for the security code on the back to fix it. I told him to call my husband later and have a word, but the muppet never phoned back. Husband was quite keen on having a proper natter with him!

Got a call from someone claiming they needed to update my phone’s block settings for nuisance calls. They then asked for the user code printed on the back of my debit card! Totally obvious scam to steal bank info. I told them basically to get lost and hung up. They called back saying I was being rude. Funny how they’re the ones trying to con me and I’m the one they say is rude - give me a break.

Got a call at 6.15 in the morning. Told the bloke I was about to start up my computer and left him waiting for a good 15 mins before he finally gave up and hung up. Then he rang back and I told him to do one. He tried again at 12.54 from 0131 204 8710 but didn’t say a word. Just kept silent.

Got a call at 6.55am from some numbskull who didn’t say a word, then rang back at 7.20am and stayed silent again. Absolutely brilliant way to start the day, not. I’ve been on the telephone preference service for yonks. Being a former BT engineer, I reckon there’s loads more that could be done to smash these scam artists and pest callers for good.

Some bloke named Clive from TPS rings up wanting my credit card info - apparently they need the expiry date. I just laughed and asked what else he needed cause I was happy to dish out more. The guy got all flustered then started shouting swear words when he twigged I wasn’t falling for it. Honestly, these bloody scammers should be banned, they’re the worst kind of scum.

Got a call from this bloke today, he seemed to have my details, some Indian guy going on about my phone bill and trying to check the last 3 digits of my card. I told him I was hanging up. They tried ringing again afterwards, so I’ve just gone ahead and blocked the number now!

Just got a call from someone claiming to be from TPS. When I asked where they were located, they said "West London." Then I pointed out how a west London caller could have a 0131 number, which is Edinburgh's area code. I even suggested maybe they were actually ringing from India. No prizes for guessing - they quickly hung up! Definitely a dodgy scam.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying my call blocking subscription was up, and also claimed my Visa card expired back in 2018. I told him straight away that I never share bank info over the phone. Then he just abruptly ended the call.

This guy called me two times, saying something about my computer, right? So I asked what company he was with and he just says "Windows"! Like seriously, I said, "yeah, right, Windows the big company calling me outta nowhere!" Received a couple of calls earlier claiming to be from some nuisance call service. They somehow knew my husband’s full name, our address, bank, and even the sort code. They said our card was about to expire and gave a date. Then they asked for the long numbers beneath his name on the card. My husband told them to do one and hung up straight away.

This number, along with similar ones ending in 03, 04, 07 and now 08, has been ringing almost daily, often two or three times a day, for weeks on end! Pretty sure they just swap out the last digit once we block each one. We’ve got BT Call Guardian set up and renew our TPS registration every year. I've flagged this number as dodgy because they’re relentless and clearly desperate to make contact. But for what reason?!
