I’ve blocked a few different numbers that seem to be from the same source now. Every time I block one, a new one pops up calling me at odd times like 6.20 in the morning or even 7am. They even called a few times while I was out shopping. One day, there was like 5 calls that I only found out about after going through my phone history. Proper annoying!

Got a call from 01312048707, sounded like an Indian bloke who said his name was Austin Smith and claimed he was ringing from Microsoft. He asked me to hit the windows key on my laptop, probably trying to get access or pull some kind of scam. I pretended to go along with it for about twenty minutes until I lost interest and told him where to go!

I heard on Radio Scotland recently that folks might as well ditch their landlines because of these nuisance calls, but my missus had like ten calls on her mobile just the other day. She doesn't pick up, just lets it ring off. Harassment isn't just from the call centres ringing you; it's also when you ring them back and get treated like some sort of joke (any roustabouts you can think of?). Call centres seriously have to be near the top for causing anxiety, depression, and in some cases, worse.

Got hit with 9 calls in just a day, it's beyond annoying. I warned this caller, sounded like a scammer from India, that if he rang once more, I’d track him down and shove his phone where the sun doesn’t shine. Seriously, it’s a nightmare, especially since I’ve got an elderly family member in hospital and I’m waiting on important updates. Whatever happened to people’s rights? Feels like the UK government couldn’t care less about us regular folks.

Woke up to a call from 01312048705 really early, but when I picked up, there was nobody on the line. Got a call from this number early today at about 6:30 in the morning. I was proper startled since it showed up on my landline, a number that usually only close family use. It said it was an international call on the screen, so I didn’t pick up. Luckily, my Panasonic phone lets me block numbers, so I just added it to the blacklist straight away.

Got a phone call way too early, about 7.25 am, from a guy who said his name was John Cedric, sounded like he was from India. When I asked if it was for something urgent or medical, he said it was about my Windows computer. I told him not to bother calling me again unless it’s about a health emergency. Didn’t mention the fact I haven’t even had Windows on my PC for over five years, so I’m pretty sure it was just some dodgy cold call trying to scam me.

Got a call this morning at 6:49, which really shook me up since I have heart problems! I've also got a mum who's over 90, so you can imagine how scared I was. Yesterday, something similar happened around 7:15 with numbers like 0131 204 8701, 8703, and 8705 all ringing in a row. Can someone PLEASE do something to put an end to these calls? They had my name and address, which I guess isn’t too hard to find, and even knew the expiry on a debit card I no longer use. She already had my name and postcode, but wouldn’t give me any info in return. Then she handed me over to someone they called an activation manager, who kept trying to get more card details. I only gave them bare minimum because they kept ringing, like five or six calls in a single day! Ended up just hanging up on them. Really hope there’s a way to block this as I’m sure they’ll fool someone who isn’t as careful.
