I got loads of calls from this number all on one day.

They ring me about 8 times every day (not joking!) saying they're from O2 with great deals that sound legit. But when I ask what info they've got on me (surely O2 would have all that), they suddenly get all dodgy and confused. Honestly, just block them straight away if they call you!

Also, the weird noises in the background didnt sound like a proper phone company, kind of like cats meowing or something? that really threw me off. what freaked me out most tho was they actually knew my name.

He was going on about my O2 contract but I don’t even have one since I’m just using pay as you go. When I said I was fine with that, he then asked who my provider was. Totally fishy since O2 would easily have my number in their system if it was legit.

Got a missed call from this number, so I called back and an automated voice said, “You’ve been called by O2 today, no need to worry, we’ll try calling you again shortly.” Bit strange, right? Like if you actually wanted to call O2, why would they tell you that you missed a call from them? Then it said, “Press 1 to talk to an advisor or 2 to stop future calls.” Seems to me even if it’s not really O2, it’s quite straightforward to opt out of any more calls from them.

Really annoying and pushy Irish bloke who rang me using my first name and said he was from O2. Instantly knew it was dodgy cos no proper rep would talk like that. He even mentioned an old address of mine to try and convince me he was legit. I told him he’d be breaking GDPR rules since I never agreed to the call. He got so angry he just hung up on me. Got a call from someone who already knew my name and my previous address, saying I’d ordered a free O2 sim. I told them I hadn’t, and when I asked how they got my info, they just said it was from them. Then they started asking about my current phone contract, seemed like they were trying to push a new deal on me. I told them what plan I was on but they didn't believe me and just ended the call. It’s been a week and still no sign of this free sim. I was keen on getting O2 priorities too. Had a look at my credit report and there wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.

Got a call from some bloke named Adil, said he was from O2, sounded like he was from Lancashire or somewhere near. He told me I’d ordered a SIM card online under the name "Victoria" and gave me a postcode that was totally wrong. When I told him it wasn’t mine, he kept pestering for my real postcode. I told him I’d report the number to the police if he didn’t stop, then he just ended the call. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Someone said they were calling from 02 about a pay and go sim I supposedly bought this morning at Primark. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t really from 02, and I never ordered any sim card. Earlier I got a text thanking me for the order and telling me to click a link to confirm - I didn’t click as I knew I hadn’t ordered anything. So when they rang, I was already a bit wary. The caller spoke fast with a thick accent, and once I caught what he was on about, I just ended the call.
