I just got a call from a nearly identical number, only ending in 22, someone asking if my O2 SIM had turned up and trying to offer me a cheaper deal. But then they asked for my bank details, which I didn’t give ‘cause it felt dodgy. What’s really alarming is they already knew my name, email, and address, and I did recently order a SIM through our O2 account.

They’re probably tryna get hold of your bank info. A mate of mine went through the same. They’ll ask for your details, next thing you know you get billed for something you never ordered and some money’s missing. Best thing to do is block 'em, steer clear, and never give out your info.

They rang me 6 times over 4 days, and the last three calls came within about 10 minutes. When I told them off, they weren’t happy. They used two separate numbers, both times asking for someone called Paul, which isn’t me. I’ve blocked both numbers now.

Got a call saying I finished some survey about an O2 free sim. I told them I never done any survey. Then they asked what network I use and my plan type. I said no thanks and to stop calling me. Well, just got another call from them again so I blocked the number. Proper annoying!

Got a call from this number earlier today. The person said they were from O2 and wanted to give me a free pay as you go sim card. They even claimed to know I was already with O2. Honestly, this is the sneakiest scam call I’ve had in weeks since I actually am an O2 customer. Been getting loads of calls like this after I 'did a survey' at about 8am last Saturday, which is a bit odd since I wasn’t even up then. Looks like they’re fishing for your bank or debit card details - just block the number and ask them to remove your info from their list.

They said they were from 02 with upgrade deals but when i told them i’d only just done an upgrade with 02 this month, they said they couldn’t see customers accounts. Then they got a bit annoying when i said i was too busy to chat, arguing it couldn’t be true since i’d already been speaking to them for like 30 seconds!
