I got a call from someone who said they were from the vaccine record centre for coronavirus. I asked them to tell me which vaccines they had on file for me, and right after that, they just hung up. Definitely a scam!

I’ve sent a report to action fraud and plan to drop an email to that government phishing site too - wasn’t aware of it before. I’m a bit hesitant about bothering my MP, they’ve got tons on their hands already with inflation, illegal immigrants, Northern Ireland issues, Brexit mess, economy troubles, shady antics from some MPs, and trying to avoid WW3. I got two calls today from them, plus another one a week or two ago. They claimed to be with the NHS COVID team, asking if I’d had my vaccine and wanted to check my postcode. I never gave anything away, just told them I wouldn’t share private info, especially medical stuff, with strangers since I didn’t ask to be called. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was dodgy, but after finding this site, it’s clear it was a scam all along. It just felt a bit off right from the start.

I've seen a couple of posts on here that talk about why blocking won't really stop the endless stream of scam calls we all deal with, and they've also shared how to report them properly and make complaints. But honestly, unless loads of people who get these dodgy calls and messages every day actually step up and follow through with reporting, nothing's gonna change. These scammers rake in billions and target the most vulnerable, so we all need to take action if we want to see any difference.

So, this bloke called claiming he was conducting a survey about the NHS covid vaccine. At first, the questions seemed legit - things like if I’m fully jabbed, whether I felt any side effects, and how I’d rate the vaccination centres. I figured if it was a proper survey, these would all make sense. But then he suddenly asked about my life insurance - asked who my provider was and how much I pay for it. That’s when I got suspicious, knowing the NHS wouldn’t have any reason to ask that kind of stuff. So I just hung up straight away.

Got a call from Michelle using this number. Sounded just like a chat I had with someone from a number ending in …8 last month. She said she was from the NHS and asked if I’d had my vaccine (how would she know?), mentioned sending a vaccine certificate through the post (no cheers), and then tried to hook me up with some life insurance deal (pass on that). If they ring me again from some other number, I’ll be proper annoyed!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was ringing from a covid jab centre. He started asking if I had both my vaccine cards to prove I'd had the shots. I was like, why do you want to know that? He said it’s needed for the vaccinations. I told him yes, I have them. Then he said he can check and read out an address for me, asked if it was mine and that he’d be sending a letter there. I told him that’s not my address and I don’t want a letter. He then asked for my current address, I said no, I have no idea who he is and just hung up.

I told him he should be the one confirming himself, not me. He gave me some sort of ID number but when I wanted to check it he said it was from some NHS office in London. That sounded fishy so I told him that and he just hung up on me. Proper dodgy behaviour. 🙅🏼‍♀️🤨

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian or Bangladeshi accent claiming to be from the NHS support team. He asked if I’d had my two jabs and booster. I told him that if he was really from the NHS, he’d probably already have that info. After that, he just ended the call. Sounds like a total scammer to me, someone who deserves a good telling off.
