some bloke named eric rang me saying he was from the national health service about my covid jab (definitely sounded like a fishing scam). he was asking if i’d had any side effects which seemed really dodgy. when i asked him to spell out his last name, he just ended the call straight away. pretty sure it was a con.

SCAM ALERT Got a call from someone claiming to be with public health asking about my covid jab. When I asked for proof of who he really was, he just ended the call straight away.

Someone rang me up claiming to be from Public Health England, saying my medical records revealed the government would cover 80-90% of my life insurance if I'd had all my covid jabs and then caught the virus again. When I questioned them, they got really rude and told me to 'buzz off' and to 'go f*** yourself'.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who knew my name and asked if he was speaking to me. He said he was from the NHS and wanted to check if I'd had my Covid jabs and if I'd experienced any side effects. I told him I was suspicious, but he kept going on about being NHS and verifying my vaccine certificate (I guess that's where the scam would start?). I said he should just send me a letter or an email, since the NHS already has my details, then ended the call. I've blocked the number now.

I received a call from this number today. The individual on the other end addressed me by my FULL name, which immediately raised my suspicions. He claimed to be from the NHS, specifically the Covid department, and inquired whether I had experienced any side effects from the vaccine. He then asked if I had the Test & Trace app installed. As I started to feel uneasy about the conversation, he pivoted and questioned if I had comprehensive medical coverage or something along those lines. I requested a contact number so I could verify the legitimacy of the call, and to my surprise, he hung up abruptly. It's quite concerning how he knew my full name, isn't it?

Even though he said it might save me money, I said I wasn't interested in switching. The bloke kept pushing, so I told him I wouldn’t agree to anything without reading the small print first. After a bit of back and forth, he told me to check their website. I said I’d have a look and maybe call back but honestly, I’m not planning on it at all!
