If you’re using a call blocker, definitely add 012 to your list of blocked area codes. Feels like one of those dodgy health adviser scams to me. Also, numbers beginning with 003, 004, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 0177, 018, 019, 020, 028, 033, 073, 074, 075, 077, 078, and 079 seem suspicious and usually end up being spam.

I got a call at about 1pm from someone claiming to assist older people with their health. They kept grilling me about how often I exercise and what I eat. Seemed really insistent and pushy. The accent sounded Asian, so I reckon it was from some call centre.

This lady called me out of the blue, talking about some sort of age department or something?? She then started asking if I walk a lot and what meds I’m on. I told her straight up it was a cold call, and that if I shared info like that, it could make the house a target for burglars. Told her she should send something in writing first. That was the end of it.

From my experience, most calls from 003, 004, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 016, 0177, 018, 019, 020, 028, and mobile prefixes like 074, 075, 077, 078, 079 tend to be dodgy or scams.

This bloke kept saying he was calling from the NHS. I told him that the NHS had already got in touch with me yesterday and that I’d given them my details. I kept asking what he wanted, but he only kept talking about life insurance and kept throwing in loads of covid stuff. Felt really dodgy to me. Somebody rang earlier, asked for me by my first name and claimed they were from a covid support team. Instantly sounded dodgy - the English was pretty poor, and there was loads of noise in the background, plus an odd accent. They mentioned checking if I was fully vaxxed, which struck me as strange. Then they mumbled something I couldn’t catch, but kept asking if I had life insurance. I asked what on earth that had to do with covid, and before I knew it, the line went dead. Proper fishy call if you ask me.
