I'm a woman, so I told him he’d got the wrong number. Then he asked my name, I refused to tell him but told him clearly I'm not Dylan and that I’m female. He then started saying stuff like "you’re a lovely beautiful lady," which felt pretty creepy. So I just ended the call. Honestly, don’t pick up if it’s from similar numbers!

Following Jacks tip, I decided to try texting my home phone to see what would happen. Just like he said, the BT system came back and let me know I had two new messages. I gave the first a listen. It was, unsurprisingly, one of those dodgy lottery win calls claiming I’d hit the jackpot. Annoying, but no option to “press a button to get through” which was a relief - I used to work for BT and that would’ve driven me mad. The message will be deleted automatically now anyway.
