Yet again, I found myself on the receiving end of a call from a chap with a pronounced Indian accent, touting a complimentary renewal for my washing machine warranty. The kicker? I don’t actually have any warranty in place! I allowed him to ramble on for a bit, just to fritter away his time, struggling to make sense of his spiel. Eventually, the standard routine arrived where he claimed he would pass me along to his supervisor. At that point, I figured I’d had my fill of this rather tedious exchange, so I decided it was time to hang up. It's baffling how these chancers manage to get their hands on the names of their unsuspecting targets!
