It's one of those bloody scam calls from India where they use fake UK numbers to trick you into handing over your bank info for some fake "warranty renewal". These pests never stop, always shifting to a new number as soon as you block one, like cockroaches. If you want to report it, just google "action fraud - report phishing attempt" and fill out their form. No need to share your personal details either.

They seem totally clueless about which appliances they're trying to renew under some discounted expired policy. All they really know is my postcode, and that's about it. Honestly, their scamming skills are pretty rubbish, plus their phone line keeps cutting out, making it hard to catch what they’re even babbling about. They almost sound sorry for being so awful at this. I sent their number off to a blocklist, but if they want to actually make cash from scamming, they’ll have to step up their act quite a bit.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he worked for some Domestic insurance company. He said my washing machine cover was about to run out. I asked him what brand, and he said Hotpoint. I told him I’ve never owned a Hotpoint gear, then he started naming all sorts of brands like he was reading from a script. I called him out as a scammer and hung up straight away.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent about renewing my insurance for kitchen appliances. I told her I didn’t have any insurance like that. She asked about my cooker and fridge, said they were covered. I said my cooker was just a month old and the fridge was more than five years old. Also, I don’t have any direct debit set up with them. She said she could still arrange it no problem. I told her I wasn’t interested in setting anything up. She got quite rude then, warning me about cancellation fees before hanging up abruptly.
