I picked up the phone but no one spoke at first. After a bit, a man with an Asian accent started claiming there was an issue with my internet. I asked him who he was, but he dodged the question and kept saying there was a problem with my connection. I tried again, asking for his name and the company he worked for. He finally said he was calling from BT. Then he began asking what I used the internet for, which I found suspicious, so I asked why he needed that info. He mentioned it related to the fault and went through different internet activities, but I kept pressing him on why he needed to know. He even brought up internet banking, which made me even more wary. I asked him straight out to prove he was legit and explain the exact reason for his questions. That’s when he just ended the call.
