Received a call from this number earlier today. The chap on the line claimed to be from my service provider, O2, and mentioned they could provide me with a 50% discount. However, the connection was poor, and the voice had a distinctly Asian accent. Quite suspicious, I must say.

*Scam call* Got a phone call from someone claiming to be Alex at Carphone Warehouse, offering me an iPhone 13 max Pro with unlimited everything for £35 a month. When I told him I wasn't interested, he just ended the call right away. The guy was super polite and cheerful, but there was a lot of noise in the background, like he wasn’t in a quiet place.

SCAMMERS ALERT!!! If anyone really wants to help put an end to these dodgy phone calls (they often trick folks and some unlucky person ends up getting ripped off) check out a couple of posts from 19/03 on this thread. It takes a bit of work, but is worth it. I got a reply from my MP which was quite eye-opening, but it’ll only make a difference if MPs all over the country get loads of emails asking what they’re doing to stop these calls. Also, make sure to report to that police ‘action fraud’ site so the cyber crime teams have a clear picture of what's happening.

I've been receiving a barrage of unsolicited calls lately, with various landlines reaching out. One time it was the Car Phone Warehouse, then there was a call about life insurance, and another from O2. To be honest, I don't have any of these services! Received a call earlier today from a chap asserting he was associated with a phone car warehouse. The line was abysmal, and his accent was markedly thick. I received a call from someone purporting to be with Carphone Warehouse, touting a deal for an iPhone 12 that included unlimited minutes and a whopping 5000 international calls, all for £35 a month. It struck me as a bit pricy, and when I voiced my concerns, she switched gears and suggested the iPhone 11 for £25, which immediately dropped to £20 after a brief moment. I made it clear I'd rather not pursue the offer since I already have a work mobile, to which the woman-who appeared to have a South Asian accent-graciously thanked me for my time before ending the call.
