I got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the NHS asking if I'd experienced any side effects from the covid jab. I told him no, then he suddenly started asking about my life insurance. Even though I don’t actually have any, I told him I did. Then he wanted to know which company I was with. When I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that, he said it was just a name. He kept pushing, so I told him if he wouldn’t stop being so pushy, I’d put the phone down - and that’s exactly what I did.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be with the NHS, but the number had a Redruth area code, and I’m nowhere near there, so I was pretty suspicious. He asked if he could speak to me by my first name, and I just said, “Mrs Surname here.” I’m always careful not to say yes in case they’re recording and misuse my voice. Then he asked if I’d had the COVID jab, which felt a bit off, so I said, “Who is this exactly? Where’re you calling from and why are you asking me stuff like that?” He just hung up after that.

I got a call from a bloke who sounded like he was from India, asking if I was Deborah. Without thinking, I said yes, but then it hit me this might be dodgy. Seems like a dodgy operation; I received a call from what sounded like an Indian call centre purporting to be the National COVID Vaccination Centre. However, I can’t find any record of such an entity! When I pressed them with a few straightforward questions, they abruptly cut the line. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

When I picked up, the person just dropped the call. I tried calling back and ended up hearing a message about the call being redirected abroad, warning me the charges wouldn’t be my usual BT rate. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from some Covid support line. He started asking if I'd had the jab and if I'd tested positive for anything. Then out of nowhere, he wanted to know if I had life insurance. I didn’t want to get into it, so I said I wouldn’t answer. He insisted he wasn't trying to sell me anything, just filling out a survey. When I stood my ground, he got proper rude, so I just ended the call.

He started asking how many jabs I’d had and if I’d experienced any symptoms. When I questioned him about it all, they just ended the call on me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the public health department, asking stuff about covid jabs. When I asked why they needed the info, they didn’t really have a good answer, just kept saying they wanted to check how people were feeling after the vaccinations and kept pushing with the questions no matter what.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the "Covid 19" helpline with Public Health England. They wanted to know my vaccination details, and I told them that if they were truly from PHE, they’d already have that info. After that, the caller started telling me to “F*ck off” and even threatened my family with similar language! Definitely not the sort of behaviour you’d expect from a legitimate Public Health official. Honestly, this one belongs in the “lowest of the low” category.

Got a call from a woman saying she was with the covid 19 public health team. She asked if I’d had my jabs and if everything was alright. Somebody rang me saying they were ‘Derek’ from the Covid Health Dept, but it struck me as odd since the call came from a private number in Redruth - why would they be using that? In the background, I could hear loads of people chatting, probably calling others too. They asked for me by my initials and how I was doing. I’ve heard about these sorts of calls before, so I didn’t entertain it and quickly ended the call when they started asking about my vaccine. That number’s now blocked.

FRAUD- Someone called claiming to be from the "Public Health Care Department" asking about my vaccine records. I was like, I’ve never even heard of that department before. Then they offered to give me their address so I could go check it out. I just said no thanks, the NHS already has all my vaccine info, then I ended the call.

Just got a call from +441209809237, sounds like it’s from Redruth. They were pretending to be a health group which is so wrong. I’m actually in hospital with terminal cancer, and since my diagnosis got worse, I’ve been bombarded by all sorts of dodgy scams - life insurance offers, death plans and all kinds of awful people trying to take advantage of me. It’s really horrible how they target vulnerable folks like me.
