Got a call from a Redruth number, the person on the line had a strong foreign accent and spoke hardly any English. They claimed to be calling for the ‘Covid 19 team’, which sounded totally dodgy to me. I just ended the call straight away. I can see how this could really scare more trusting or vulnerable people though. Proper dodgy behaviour.

When I requested that my number be taken off their list, the chap became quite aggressive and began shouting. I kept my composure and invoked the principle of 'Treating Customers Fairly'-a standard any legitimate UK company should adhere to. This seemed to infuriate him further, as he resorted to quite colourful language, even calling me a 'complete tosser' before he abruptly disconnected the call. The caller couldn’t even get my name right! I cut him off as soon as I sensed something was off, and his response turned rather aggressive when I suggested it wasn’t a legitimate call.
