I received a call from a chap with a foreign accent, rattling on about a car accident I never experienced. He claimed to be a representative for insurance, but it was as plain as day he wasn’t genuine. Just another con artist trying his luck!

I keep getting calls from these jokers here in Cyprus! The number sometimes ends with a 3, so I guess they’ve got multiple lines or something. It’s mad that neither the police nor the phone company have blocked them or taken any action against them!

Got a call asking for some bloke who ain’t me, but weirdly I’ve also been getting texts and calls from Lowells debt collectors about that same name. So I guess that’s where this dodgy caller grabbed my number from. When I questioned them, they claimed it was a COVID helpline. Told them the number definitely isn’t this “James’s”, then this guy, with an Asian accent, started mouthing off. I gave as good as I got and then ended the call.

They kept saying they’re from some Public welfare programme - this is the third call I’ve had. When I tried to get more details, they just dodged the questions. They asked me stuff about side effects from the vaccine and stuff about my life insurance and personal liability, but wouldn’t say who they’re with. When I pushed back they got all irritable and insisted they needed those answers. Since I was busy at work, I just ended the call. Seeing other people’s posts here really made me glad I didn’t spill any info.

Got a ring from this number today, they said they were doing some sort of “Covid19 survey” asking about symptoms or side effects from the vaccine.
