Seems like a dodgy call I received earlier today. A chap named "John" from something called Medical-Alert in Kent gave me a bell, quizzing me about whether I use a walker or need help getting about. I told him I was perfectly fine, to which he simply replied "alright" before hanging up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call early this morning, about 9.36, from a bloke who said his name was John. When I asked where he was from, he claimed to be calling from Medical Alert in Kent. He then asked if I used any mobility aids like a frame or a walker. I told him I don't need any assistance, and he just said alright, goodbye. Since my number is on the TPS list and unlisted too, I found it a bit dodgy - even though TPS doesn’t always stop these calls. Just be careful when answering calls from numbers you don’t recognise!

The caller never said who they were or where they were calling from. They kept throwing questions at me, saying something about a pendant alert system I supposedly qualified for. I just answered yes or no, not wanting to get drawn in. When I asked how long this call was going to go on, they just said “have a nice day” and cut me off. Pretty obvious it’s a scam, no need to say more.

I was hoping to get some info about medical stuff that might make me eligible for free treatment. The guy, John, started by asking if I used a walking stick. I wasn’t comfortable sharing any personal details with a stranger from a company I’d never come across before. Right after that, he just ended the call.

A call came through to my 91-year-old mother, who's presently unwell. It seemed quite plausible, especially since she's been in touch with both 111 and her GP recently. When I requested the caller to send some information in writing, they abruptly terminated the conversation.

Some bloke rang up (no, no, it wasn’t #### wanting info). Claimed he was from a firm checking for damp and wall issues after rain - on the absolute hottest day of the year! What a daft excuse.

I’ve got my phone registered with a “No Marketing Calls” list through my provider, and honestly, I can’t recall the last time I received one in the past two decades-makes me quite wary of any unexpected calls. This particular caller hung up before I had a chance to speak, so naturally, I did a quick check on the number and stumbled across your report, indicating it's linked to what seems to be a medical scam. I was already on high alert, thanks to our local community of scam spotters. Now that I know this number, it’s a definite no from me in the future. Sometimes I find myself wanting to express my true feelings about these lowlifes-the audacious thieves! But really, what's the point? They clearly lack a conscience and must have skin made of iron to carry on with their deceitful schemes, not to mention a rather nasty disposition. Best to steer clear of these dodgy characters altogether!

I received a dodgy call claiming that I could receive a complimentary medical alert bracelet simply for being over the age of 50, with only the shipping costs to cover. They asked for my credit card details. This is obviously a scam aimed at the elderly, so steer clear - it’s about as trustworthy as a chocolate teapot!

Got a call from a guy named John claiming he was with some medical alert company out of Dorset. He started asking if I was over 50 and mentioned I might qualify for some free bracelet thing. They kept insisting the life safety fob was totally free at first, kept saying no cost at all. I kept asking when the fees would kick in, because it felt too good to be true lol. Turns out it was free just for a month, then suddenly you’re signed up to a plan and paying 99p each day. I ended up having to pay for 3 months upfront!

They kept going on about how the life safety fob was free, kept telling me it wouldn’t cost a penny. I kept pushing, asking when they’d start charging me, haha. Turns out it was free for just a month, then after that, you had to sign up and pay like 99p every day. I ended up coughing up for three months all at once.

Just like everyone else, I got a call from some free medical alert company. I asked how they got my home number since it’s ex-directory and I’m on the TPS list. The bloke said they’d been given a list of people who might qualify for a free alert. He asked if I was over 50, but I refused to give any details. After that, he just said “have a nice day” and hung up. It’s awful how they prey on vulnerable people. I don’t get how these scammers aren’t sorted out for good.

Just like always, rang up about some free medical alert. Asked how he got my landline since we're on the TPS and unlisted. He said they were given a list of numbers possibly eligible for free alerts, then asked if I was over 50. I told him no info from me. He didn’t argue, just said cheers and ended the call. It’s a proper scam, preying on those who are vulnerable. How do these idiots still get away with it?
