Got a call from someone named "James" claiming to be with the state security services. I asked for their website a couple of times, and on the third go they suddenly just cut the call. Fair play to him though, he did say thanks for my time before hanging up. I suppose even crooks can have manners nowadays!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be James from the state security lot. Something felt off straight away, so I just ended the call. I was a bit nosy and dialled 1471 to check who it was, and to my surprise the phone rang and a voice said it was from Tele Pro Services Marketing or something like that. I’d seriously recommend folks have a look at Dirty Rotten Scammers on BBC1 - it’s an eye-opener!

Somebody rang saying they were from State Security Services, asking about how I planned to handle payments for social care. It seemed fishy, so when I mentioned I’m on the TPS list, I just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scam, I reckon.

Had a ring earlier from a bloke claiming to be Steve. He went on about how the Government's making folks sell their homes to cover care costs. Kept talking about using the value of your house. Then he tried to find out if I owned my place. I stopped him straight away. Sounds like a dodgy scam just trying to fish for my details.

Someone rang saying they were from some State Security Services and going on about how they were helping folks stop losing their homes. They wanted my nan to join a Zoom meeting with them the next day. Thankfully, she mentioned it to me before anything happened, so I blocked the number straight away. Totally a scam - steer clear!

I recently received a call from what appears to be a "medical company" attempting to entice me with heart monitors, contingent upon me verifying my age and various personal particulars. The automated voice was sailing through an array of scripted prompts, rather like a machine going through the motions. Quite a curious encounter, if I do say so!

this number phoned me twice, first time pretending to be from ee saying my phone contract was ending soon and i could get an upgrade. bit strange coz ive got a rolling sim only deal. the second call was about some care home costs, but when i asked for specifics about the scheme, they just kept going on about how great it was without giving details. tried to get through to a supervisor and the call just got cut off.

Got a call from someone saying they could help you keep your house if you needed long term care, claiming they had some kind of financial tips so the "government" wouldn’t make you sell it. Sounded really dodgy to me. Didn’t give them any details at all. Feels like it was probably some sort of scam trying to get money or info.

I got a call from this number around midday today. The area code is from Redruth - nice place, but I’ve no contacts there at all. Reading some earlier reviews, it’s clear this is just another scam attempt trying to snatch money off us. Luckily, I have Call Guardian on my phone which stops these dodgy callers reaching me. Best advice: don’t pick up if you see this number, and absolutely never share your personal or bank details with strangers over the phone.
